Work model: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite) or fully remote for candidates located more than 100 km away.

We are currently looking for an Appian Software Developer to join a large-scale initiative within the banking sector. While Appian expertise is preferred, we are also open to candidates with experience on other BPM platforms, provided they have a strong technical background and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and evolution of a core banking platform responsible for orchestrating business processes related to banking products and services. The application plays a key role in managing product-related workflows, customer assets and integrations with multiple systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and proactively challenge them when appropriate
• Design and develop workflows, user interfaces and integration components using platform capabilities and best practices
• Deliver clean, maintainable code and application configurations based on technical specifications
• Participate actively in code reviews, solution design discussions and development activities
• Work closely with the team in an Agile environment and contribute to continuous improvements of development processes
• Provide L3 support and troubleshoot issues for live applications
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure efficient and scalable solutions

Requirements

Must have:

• Previous experience in a software development or technical consulting role
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Appian as a Developer or Consultant
• Experience working with databases and database programming, ideally using MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies
• Solid understanding of integrations and messaging technologies such as APIs, JMS, Kafka, or similar
• Advanced English communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Strong learning mindset and adaptability
• Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Previous exposure to the banking industry
• Familiarity with change management and defect tracking processes

Nice to have:

• Experience with other BPM technologies and workflow platforms
• Exposure to enterprise-level applications and complex system integrations
